01Do forklifts need a daily check?
Yes. Operators should check the truck at the start of each shift. This is separate from the thorough examination that lifting equipment needs under LOLER, usually every 12 months (6 months if it lifts people).
02What if something fails?
Don't use the truck. Take the key out, label it out of use and report the defect so it can be repaired.
03Can I add my own checks for reach trucks?
