Step 2: Tick as you go

01What is a snag?
A defect or unfinished item in new building work, such as cracked plaster, a sticking door, missing sealant or a light that doesn't work.
02When should I do a snagging inspection?
Ideally before you complete or the builder hands over, and again within the first months. New-build warranties usually give a period for the builder to fix snags.
03Can I add photos of each snag?
Yes, with Pro: a photo on any item prints in the PDF next to the note, which makes it much easier for the builder to find.
04Is it free?
Yes. Fill it in online and download it as a PDF, Excel or PNG, 3 reports a day, with no sign-up, and you can add your logo. Pro adds photos, your signature, premium designs and unlimited reports.
